We led six online public workshops with the Liberatory Leadership Project around the topics of trauma and healing for movements. These workshops were inspiring and offered skills-based solutions to injustice with healing and spiritual tools and were attended by over 800 people across the globe along with the 24 cohort members of Liberation School.
In 2018 and 2019, we organized and led the POC and non-POC spiritual care space at the Mystic Soul Conference, a POC-led contemplative justice effort led by the amazing folks at Mystic Soul Project--a partner organization.
Liberation School organizing team members hosted two weekends of medicine making in Louisville, Kentucky which allowed us to offer a traveling apothecary at both the Mystic Soul Conference and at Creating Change for LGBTQI2 changemakers.
Liberation School cohort members have incorporated countless practices, songs and learnings with their local community organizing work in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts and beyond. For example, Will Brummet on faculty has shared cultural storytelling to an anti-racist men’s circle, Freedom Beyond in Boston Massachusetts.
We have shared in over 50 sessions (in small practice groups and large co-mentoring group), hundreds of Facebook posts in our private Facebook group and a weekly newsletter curating the best practices and celebrations of our movements.
